Leadership Team
Hafeez Y. Ahmed, M.D.
Dr. Ahmed is a native of Virginia and joined X-Ray Associates in July of 2014. In 2008 he received his Medical Diploma from Virginia Commonwealth University and in 2013 he completed is Diagnostic Residency at Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Ahmed specializes in musculoskeletal radiology, where he completed a fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology.
John Ference, M.D.
Dr. Ference joined the group in 2000 bringing specialized skills in Interventional Radiology. He is a University of Michigan Medical School graduate in 1994 followed by completion of Diagnostic Residency at William Beaumont Hospital. He also completed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology at William Beaumont Hospital in 1999. Dr. Ference is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology.
Leopold Fregoli, M.D.
Dr. Fregoli currently serves as the President of X-Ray Associates of Port Huron, P.C. He has been a member of the group for over 19 years. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine with high distinction. Diagnostic Residency was completed at William Beaumont Hospital in 1998 where he continued on in a Fellowship with special training in diagnostic/procedural mammography and all imaging modalities including body MRI, CT and Ultrasound. Dr. Fregoli is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology.
Michael Legacy, D.O.
Dr. Legacy became a member of the group in 2021. He received his medical education through Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. Both his internship and residency programs were completed at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills, where he later went on and completed his fellowship in body imaging at Henry Ford Hospital in 2022 and was certified by the American Board of Radiology in 2022. Dr. Legacy is married with three children and enjoys watching sports and home repair DIY projects.
Daniel K. Shogren, D.O.
Dr. Shogren became a member of the group in 1998. His Medical Education was obtained at the University of Health Sciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992. Both his Internship and Diagnostic Radiology Residency Programs were completed at Bi-County Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Specializing in Neuroradiology, a Fellowship was completed in 1998 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He was certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology in 1998.
